Hasedera Temple, which is said to have been founded by Hodo Shonin, is located halfway up Uchibuki Mountain, one of the satoyama of Kurayoshi City,
The ema group dedicated to the temple includes an ema that was the subject of a story called “The Legend of the Slippery Horse,” in which a horse escaped from a painting at night and ran amok, as well as other valuable ema group designated as a protected cultural asset by the prefecture.
